Beautiful work. I like the way they bridge the gap between abstract and “real.”
A good indoor activity for the winter and change of pace from outdoor shooting. Can’t do one or the other for too long without the need to switch gears.
Ah! You’re so balanced! ;-)
Beautiful, and so dreamlike. I see elements here and there that could be starting points for stories (mountains, smoke…). May I guess that you took loads of photos, and had a difficult time to choose which ones to share…? (Just a wild guess, based on own experiences…)
Thank you for the very kind words.
I wouldn’t say I took “loads of photos” but I did have to take several of each shot to make sure the exposure and focus were right. On other setups, it was only afterwards that I noticed a distracting element I had missed when I took the photo. (Looking forward to the day when I have a camera with an eye-level viewfinder.)
It really wasn’t that difficult to choose the best because some were real duds. Also, I didn’t want to shoot that many because at some point, the images became somewhat repetitive and I felt I already had what I needed.
I trust that answers your question. So glad you asked.
