Except for Manhattan Boy, these are like disguised portraits – an interesting concept. Then that last one, well, it’s a gem! I can see it appealing to lots and lots of people. Excellent!

What an interesting concept — “disguised portraits” — and one that never entered my mind until you mentioned it. Having done so many mashups in which faces and torsos serendipitously appeared through layer alchemy, I thought it might be interesting to introduce such elements intentionally. I found myself drawn to images in which the face takes on a more universal significance than those that serve as character studies.
