An Invitation to Other Photo Bloggers
Whenever possible, it might be fun to link to Google Maps Street View so visitors can revisit your footsteps and get some sense of the location that spoke to you. To get the ball rolling, here’s a link to East 12th Street in Manhattan. The above images were made last Monday between Avenue B and Avenue C, on both sides of the street, approximately one-third of the way down the block heading west.
‘Broken’ is very sad…a powerful image for me.
I like your invitation regarding Google Maps/Street View. In rural areas Street View is hit or miss. I checked my most recent photograph of a “Sunday Afternoon Walk” and was surprised to find an old Street View drive-by so I may add a link for that one.

Thanks Michael. The mural is a memorial to the man who is pictured. As you can see at the link, the inscription at top reads: “We’re All a Family Under One Sky.”

I like the idea, too -and guess what – I lived on that block for a short time, back in…um…maybe 1969 or ’70. It was a very tough place back then. I had a sublet on 12th between First and A back then, too, with a tub in the kitchen! The good old days! :-)
The third image has the feeling of a Tibetan mandala – the colors, the detail, the central image – a long shot, I know, but it made me think of that.
I hope you’re able to enjoy some aspect of Stella..

And I will think about street view links.
