How nice of you to say that Linda. Comments like yours are wonderful gifts as well. The virtual community we have as photo bloggers, sharing and commenting on each other’s work, occupies a special place in my life.
Thanks. The image was hugely underexposed and originally showed up as Zone 1 when viewed on my monitor. As an experiment, I tried cranking up the shadow values to the max and this is what resulted. I think it’s noise rather than grain, and doesn’t always work as I’ve since found out. Will keep on trying though because it’s nice when it does.
Interesting! No surprise that an adjustment that works in one image fails in another, but that’s the fun of it, right? I’ve no doubt that you will keep playing. ;-)
Your photographs show SUCH imagination. I’m so glad you have chosen to blog. Your posts are wonderful gifts.

I love what you did with the low light – grain never looked so good!
