Thanks for the compliment, Lynn. Blogging is my alternative to being on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or whatever the latest fad is in social media. That’s why I tend to think of myself as not so much a dinosaur but a fossil :)

Due to a glitch maybe, the comments boxes aren’t on the next post right now, so I’ll do that here — it’s a lovely, elegiac post, full of that late summer feeling, the enjoyment and the regret.
