I have an ever increasing collection of cloud photos, Alan. Maybe it’s a schoolboy fascination but I really do appreciate the patterns as random as they are. I’m glad I’m not the only one. Nice work.
Thanks Ken. Do people describe you as “walking around with your head in the clouds?” :)
I’m sure there are millions of other photographers who share the same interest. And no wonder — It’s an eternal, ever-changing, magnificent art show. I’m often surprised though at how often I’m not looking up and observing it.
Ever since I started taking pictures I have used the expression “That’s an Ansel Adams sky!” My close friends knew what I was talking about but I think even today a lot of folks wouldn’t understand. Even so, I’m usually looking down rather than up since a great sky is a rare occasion around here.

Thanks Lynn. It’s amazing how much that cloudy middle section moved in the course of a few seconds. Almost called for a motor drive :)
