Once again, I commented in my head but didn’t get around to typing…I find that out when I check back and see there’s nothing from me, when I remember the thoughts and the words in my head. ;-) Anyway, I’m very fond of the 1st and 4th images – they’re more traditional I guess, but there you go. It’s impressive that you can photograph the Brooklyn Bridge and come up with something new, something that draws the viewer in. And the B&W is very elegant. That’s a big one going up behind the Manhattan Bridge – will I even recognize the city when I come back?
Thanks John, you’re right about the NYC bridges. Even though there are many modern bridges that are very beautiful, they lack the rich detail of older ones. The first serious pictures I took were of the George Washington Bridge when I was about 13 years old. I used a Brownie Hawkeye camera that was a present from my grandmother. I think I still have them in a box somewhere and they’re not half bad as I recall.

Thanks Lynn. All of these were taken on a round-trip ferry ride between Manhattan and Brooklyn. It sure beats the subway so consider it on your visit.

Really like the first one, the third one and the one on the bottom… the NYC bridges never cease to inspire.
