It may not be obvious, but it’s a broken mirror etched with a picture of the Last Supper, that was positioned upside down against a house. All I did was turn the photo so it read correctly. The yellowish leaves on top and bottom are reflections of nearby trees.
Once more, I want to know how something was done. ;-) I think I get it now – you saw the mirror, framed (?) leaning against the house, for the Trump image you replaced the mirror with the fence & Trump sign photo. The Last Supper one you explain above. I have to say, I really like the top photo too; the black and white is just perfect for it.
Lynn’s comment made me look at the top photo again. I’m glad you didn’t photograph it the way I would have (cropping up to ivy-covered wall in back of the left-most chair). The way you have it, there is pleasure in seeing the three cars, a repetition to go with the repetition of the chairs.
Thanks Linda. Cropping it tighter as you describe was in fact my immediate inclination and the first photo that I took. It felt too simplified though so I pulled back to make it a little more interesting. (I often find that I settle for the easy shot when coming upon a scene and it’s only after I’ve spent more time with the subject that better ones arise.)
Looking at the picture now, I like the way the cars are lined up one way, the chairs another — do car owners sit on them while waiting for valets to pull their cars around from the driveway?
:)
That “Last Supper” shot is a work of art!

The effect of those reflected leaves in the Last Supper is quite nice. And you know I love the Trump sign. And the photograph is good, too. ;-)

Thanks Linda. The Trump sign replaced the Jesus mirror and was a last-minute inspiration that only came while editing.
