You know you’ve got me with these! The first one is like liquid fire, just fantastic. And there are more? Good! If I ever have more space, I should get a light table. I really like what it does and it would be fun to experiment.
Thanks for the tip, I see you’re right (of course!). I was picturing the flowers placed on a surface with the light coming from underneath, shining through, but most “light boxes” on Amazon are boxes you place an object inside, for even, bright light around it. Can you give me a little guidance? (Yes, great for nasty winter days).
Sorry for the confusion between light box and light table. I see the latter name is the one more commonly associated with what I’ve been using. If you Google portable light tables, you’ll find a wide selection. Mine is lit by fluorescent bulbs and measures about 15″ x 19″ x 3.” Wouldn’t go much smaller except for thickness: there are very thin ones on the market now that use LEDs but I haven’t had any experience with them.
Very good.

Oh, I loooove, these! Especially Red Reverie_0902 and the last one. Did you photograph these on a light table? Or maybe on a scanner?

Thanks Ken. When’s the next meeting of the FOW club, i.e., Flowers on White?

Thanks so much Lynn. I like the liquid fire metaphor.
Part Two has already been posted; Three and Four to come.
You know you can get portable light boxes that take up very little space. I’m sure you’d have a blast. Great for days when you’re stuck inside.

I see those LED ones – can’t quite figure out who that might work – I should look for them at an art supply store first. Thanks!

Check them out. They may be better than fluorescents.
