Toxic Waste kept my attention for a long time—it was the colors as well as the images and patterns.

That’s good to hear John because I did something on the bottom image I rarely do — dramatically changing the color from what was in the original. I also went with a very cool color which is another thing I hardly ever do. But this time, it just felt appropriate.

Tarps are good! ;-) But “Toxic Waste” is so untoxic to my eyes, it’s really attractive. They both are, and again, I really like seeing the scene of the crime.

That’s interesting Lynn because “Toxic Waste” feels very dark to me. It raises an issue I may have mentioned here before: the conundrum photographers face when our urge to create beautiful — or at least well-crafted — images comes into play while documenting pollution, war, or destruction of any kind. It seems to me that the artistry often takes something away from the message the images are meant to convey.
