Your weather reports are far more interesting than the other weather reports I receive. Your shutter speed on these was spot on! You make me not only see the birds flapping their wings, but hear their chirping.
Thanks, Linda, but I’m completely at the mercy of my consumer-level camera when it comes to adjusting shutter speeds. Aside from changing the ISO, or fiddling with the image pre-sets, both of which I prefer not to do, I’m left with exposure compensation — which worked out well in this case.
I keep hoping to upgrade my camera but I have very specific requirements and I’m not even sure what I’m looking for is technically possible. So I stick with what I have until something better comes along.
House sparrows have never looked so good! These are really nice. I love the degree of sharpness and blur in the second one, and the patterned effect in the first.
Thank you, Lynn, for identifying the birds. (Sort of embarrassing to admit I didn’t have a clue they were sparrows, but hey, I’m a Bronx-born city boy.)
If you don’t mind, I may have to contact you for the names of any plants, birds, natural phenomena, etc., that are my subjects in future images. Until now, I’ve managed to fudge things whenever a Google search comes up short. Much better to have a real live expert one can rely on in a pinch :)

I agree with Linda…three {perhaps more?} interesting reports of the weather. And even better, we didn’t have to shovel the snow!…this time.

Yes, it’s always fun to experience some things vicariously — or from a window!
