This goes well beyond making lemonade out of lemons, it’s quite beautiful. The choice of background color is perfect, too. I’m only a little sorry the bowl broke. OK? ;-)
Thanks Lynn, that’s a nice metaphor. There’s something about the way the bowl broke into only three pieces that compelled me to save it on a mantel in my dining room.

Thanks John. I started off intending to do a mash-up, so I dialed back the opacity levels for each layer and was pleasantly surprised to see what each looked like afterwards. Scrapped the composite and went with this instead. Interestingly enough, I could have gone with a more saturated look that had its own appeal, but in the end, this image won out.
