A garden-variety thunder storm and rotting limb of an Ailanthus tree give new meaning to the term invasive species. Fortunately, no one was getting into or out of the cars when this happened and both vehicles sustained only minor damage — it actually looks much worse than it was. Also known as the tree of heaven, let’s hope it remains up high where it belongs. (Note: This Wikipedia link is well worth reading if, like me, you knew absolutely nothing about the tree.)
I see you’re at it again, heh heh.

As long as he’s at it, I’ll be, though I have to admit it’s impossible to keep up with his madness.

You give him a good run, but yes, no one could be equal to his madness. Great work!!
I learned about Ailanthus trees back in the early 70’s, when I moved into Hoboken. Let’s say I was the advance guard of the future yuppy invasion. In those days there were really not many Y or U or P people, but it was fascinating. I mean, AND it was wonderful. Anyway, the railroad station had a sizable Ailanthus tree growing on the roof – it took root in the gutter and was very happy there. Wonderful trees! :-)

Thanks. I never would have known the name if the guy who came to clean up the mess hadn’t told me.
If only there was someone in Washington DC who could do as quick and thorough a job :)
