A fine selection of images, Alan. And I like the idea of a bonus image..

Thanks Ken. I liked the bonus image a lot but Photoshop, I’m afraid, deserves all the credit. Normally, I don’t like to rely on it for achieving interesting effects without any input from me, but in this case I couldn’t resist. Consigning the image to the bonus category felt like a compromise I could live with while still maintaining some integrity :)

The lighthearted feeling rubbed off on you, and now we’re the recipients, hooray! I like Endangered Species for that fun-loving quality – but The Glass Menagerie – what a beauty. The colors glow and resonate across the picture. Thanks for including the exhibit space photo too.

Thanks Lynn. The show is definitely worth a visit if it comes to a nearby museum. Did you see in the link that the sculptures were fabricated at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma?
It’s too late for both of us since we moved a few months ago, but I’d love to know how those pieces were packed :)

:-) Speaking of packing, we’re going to LA next week and I couldn’t find my suitcase….turns out it was deep in a dark corner of my closet. It takes a while to get to know one’s new space. :-) And no, I didn’t notice that the sculptures came from the Museum of Glass, so thanks for mentioning it. I hate to say it but I haven’t been there. But there’s loads of Chihuly in various places around the PNW. Whatever one may think about him, he’s a pioneer and has done some amazing work. What a cool medium glass is!
