They’re beautiful….flattening out the image, especially in the first one, really takes it to a different level. It’s interesting that each image invokes a very different mood, too, though the subject matter is the same.
I wanted to say something about the lack of reflections, too – it seems to me that raindrops often reflect the surroundings, but these are acting as magnifiers of what’s underneath them. I can’t figure that out. I wonder why sometimes it’s one way, sometimes the other. I think it must have to do with how close you are and the angle of view – maybe when you’re up close and looking straight on, you’re more likely to see what’s under the drop instead of seeing a reflection.
BTW, the last photo seems to be full of love – I know, heart-shaped leaves, pinky red colors…what so i expect? But there’s something else, too.
A number of comments are suddenly going into my email junk folder for reasons I don’t understand so unfortunately I didn’t discover yours until today. My apologies for belated thanks.
Very nice, Alan. Well done.

Thank you Lynn. Aside from the size of the water drops, I was also amazed at how few leaves there were that looked like this.

Beats me what the answer is. Anyone else want to take a stab at it? (I’m looking directly at you or your husband, Linda G :)
Pleased that you saw so much love in the last pair. Next year’s Valentine’s card!

I really like these, Alan; especially with the little magnifiers. :-)
