Thanks Lynn. Don’t you think it would make a great artist residency?
I told the owner that if the scrap metal business ever slows down, they could open the yard to the public and charge admission. He said some places already do that :)

Joe worked at a scrap metal yard on Long Island for the summer when he was in college – he tells great stories about it. I think he’s salivating at these finds. An artist residency – I love it!

Yes, I had the same thought. I guess I was no different than everyone else who was coming in and dropping off washers, dryers, scrap metal, etc.
I think the owner was also mildly intrigued that his business could be an inspiration to artists.
