Thanks so much, John, for the very kind comment. Not sure though whether it’s ground or wrinkles that photography has yet to cover :)
Giving credit where credit is due, I’m familiar with at least one other photographer who, unbeknownst to me, was photographing his aging body — John Coplans (https://tinyurl.com/y2gn8cxc) — who certainly went to more extremes than I have.
Also, I just came across Joel-Peter Witkin’s classic photo “The Kiss” (http://wssrmnn.net/index.php/2016/08/28/joel-peter-witkin/) the other day that has a strong resemblance to my #5 above. If you scroll down to the video on the page I’ve referenced, a discussion about “The Kiss” begins at 7:41. The origins of each photograph are like night and day :)
I am speechless!!! I am without speech!!!

They’re very well done…some are hard to look at…they’re brave….I’d say my favorites are #2 and #4-9…

A courageous and original group of self-portraits which rekindle a sense that photography still has ground to cover.
My apologies for not commenting sooner. Phenomenal post.
