Yes, Duane Michaels did some really great work and may still be doing so for all I know.
He took an idea and produced a visual narrative that gave it expression. In these photos, I was just trying out different things to get one or two good shots as the sun was going down. Weaving several images into a story (of sorts) only came later. Whatever script there is was driven entirely by the visuals.

These remind me of the great Duane Michals. I had two of his books and they are on a shelf of books I’ll never get rid of.
