Wednesday, July 17, 2019: And the Answer Is —
by ag
In my July 5 post, I asked if anyone could identify the plant that was pictured. Admittedly, there were not many clues to go on at the time. Twelve days later, with more growth visible and the assistance of Google image search, I’ve found the answer. (Click on images to see what it is.)
Dang. My second guess was gonna be Poison Ivy.

Yes, that would have been a great choice for a small public park where children play :)

Black cohosh! I haven’t seen it for a long time. I forgot the way it looks in bud. It used to be in a perennial border on a small estate where I was gardener, in Bedford (Westchester Co). Beautiful plant, I love it! Thanks for finding out and telling us.
