There’s a pier with bar/restaurants and tacky gift shops that extends out over the beach and into the sea, and that’s where I took some of these photos from.
It was fascinating to watch the always shifting arrangement of the silhouetted figures in the surf, each person in their own little world, communing with the water.
Summer beaches provide an endless amount of subject matter — until the police stop you because someone reported you as a pedophile as happened at the amusement park!
Next time I do anything like this, I’ll find a policeman first and tell him what kind of photography I’ll actually be doing. Then I’ll ask him to tell whoever complains about me to go take a flying leap off the ferris wheel :)
I’m knocked out by these, Alan. Nice work. Question: You wouldn’t happen to be 30 feet tall, would you?

If anything, I’m shrinking.

Other photographers use drones :)

First and last! The wide angle on the first photo is special, and the effect in the last is magic. And seeing crowds through bars is pretty smart. ;-)

Much appreciated John. Quite a difference from the beaches you hang out in :)
