Really beautiful, Alan, gorgeous (Springtime) washes of color. I love the scale of the second photo, the way the door is so small. There’s dignity there.

Dignity may be the only thing left. This building has been vacant since 2008, home to a furniture business that was in Springfield for 135 years, and is now at a suburban location.
Until I did some research, I always thought it was a bar — that would have been a better fit with a surrounding neighborhood that’s fallen on hard times.

It’s so interesting to get the back story behind the places you see in your neighborhood. Vacant since 2008 – that’s sad.
