Thanks Johnny but appearances are deceiving — I actually have very few books, which embarrasses me as a former lit major :) The only ones I do have are in my living room and studio.
The fact is that I eat and go to sleep reading either the New Yorker magazine or printouts from the online NY Times and Washington Post.
I like this image! The word that comes to my mind is “rich” – there is plenty, also plenty of air and light! So for me, it’s a positive and light view!
Choosing a softer, more painterly effect brought out the qualities that you’ve enjoyed and which attracted me as well. Like all my composites, I’m never sure what I’ll end up with when I start. I thought the concept had some promise but this image took a lot of coaxing, that’s for sure :)
I’m not sure if you sleep among so many books or eat among so many books, but either way, I like it.

I usually go to sleep with a stack of 8-10 books on the bedside table because I couldn’t decide what I felt like reading….
