This virtual show includes 63 images and covers work from February through October of this year. It’s a good chance to see 9 months of Pixetera condensed into one easy view. Plus, AG’s face finally revealed without being Photoshopped! (Masks and social distancing are optional.)

I agree with Peter; Great show, Alan. I liked your bio/artist’s statement, too.

Much appreciated Mic. I’m not a big fan of pretentious artist statements so your reference to mine is very welcome.

Yes, I know what you mean; I didn’t detect any pretentiousness in yours. 🙂

And I agree with Mic. What breadth you have. Nice to see your real face, too.

Based on past experience, my breadth does not include antique furniture, fashion and beauty, sports, and food styling. But generally speaking, it’s more the quality of light and strong composition that attract me more than the actual subject matter.
The reason I felt comfortable showing my unaltered face was because I’ve just been released from a witness protection program :)

Congratulations on putting this together! I like the layout, with the variety of self-portraits getting the show started. There were some favorites from past posts in there…I’m thinking about the bird above the doorway. Your statement at the end of the bio is great. Clear, straightforward, and real. It must feel good to see the work of the past X number of months all together like that. :-)

Thanks Lynn. I didn’t have much to do with the way things look. I gave the gallery my images in numbered order, but the software moved everything around. Fortunately, the gallery owner came up with the solution you see: the two self-portrait series at top and everything else below. I would have preferred having my titles in the bordering frames of all the photos, but that would have involved more time and effort than the owner was willing to give.
So, a mixed bag but at least the show didn’t cost me an arm and a leg.
Glad you liked the artistic statement in which I followed the KISS guidance — Keep It Simple, Stupid.
The only downside to seeing all that work together is wishing I had included more :)
