I’m glad you like the photos Linda but there’s a downside to vacant urban storefronts — of which there are many here in downtown Springfield. From what I understand, the city was a beautiful, thriving place up until the second half of the last century. There are signs of a resurgence but it still has a long way to go.
I’m sorry, Alan. I know too well about the downside. We have many sad examples here in Ohio. I guess I was too flippant. It’s always a tricky thing to make a wonderful photograph about a sad or terrible thing.
