How very cool, Alan! Rust is one of my favorite things to photograph—second only to Leptothrix discophora films—but I never considered using a photo of rust in a composite (not that I could pull it off). You definitely pulled it off. It’s not only a cool photo but a beautiful one.
Thanks so much Linda. One of the reasons I went the composite route is because others like yourself do such a good job of photographing rust. Why add yet another?
The bottom photo, btw, also includes the same rust image but goes in a different direction.
Nice! I agree with Linda that you pulled it off…it’s also interesting that the transition is between something rough and warm-colored, but water-related to something smoother and cool, also water-related. Red to green, too. Opposites but not.
