Beautiful and intriguing. I had to look at it for a long time. The combination of the graphic grid with the softness of the human forms and blurry lights is fascinating. And I like how the grid varies in tone and distinctness.
Thanks Linda. I hope it’s good that you had to look at it for a long time.
This one was like pulling diamonds out of dreck. I give the iPhone 7
(which is what I’ve been forced to shoot with now for months) credit though for allowing me to shoot the shadows handheld in a darkened room at night illuminated only by distant street lights. The resulting image, while fairly sharp, was extremely noisy as you might expect.
Fortunately, I discovered a way to eliminate the noise and still preserve the photo’s most important details. The grid was added afterwards.
Thanks so much for the high praise Linda. I’ll happily accept the title as long as it can be bestowed on the thousands of other photographers who are doing work with a phone that’s just as good, if not a whole lot better than what I’ve been doing.
That said, I’ll take a decent camera over a phone any day :)
Well, yes, I understand about wanting a more flexible camera, but you are making your iPhone sing—and proving that a discerning eye is the most important tool to produce a good photograph.

So we’ll have to add iPhone King to your list of attributes. All your work was worth it. Bravo.
