Sunday, June 9, 2019: Fresh Paint Springfield Wrap

A dozen artists — one from as far away as Australia — assorted friends, and a supporting cast of residents from ages 3–103, have just finished making Springfield a little more lively and a lot more beautiful than it was two weeks ago. From May 26 until today, nine previously nondescript walls bordering on eyesore status were transformed into vibrant murals through the alchemy of artistic vision and labor, and countless gallons and spray cans of paint — not to mention, a box store full of brushes, rollers, and masking tape, and enough paint-splattered clothes to start a new fashion label.
