Note: This image, pulled from my archives and never posted, was taken 2 years ago to the day. The trees in the background are all gone now, cut down to make room for new housing. My April 20 entry depicts what the scene looks like today
What a pity to lose that woodland. I can smell the spring rain in this photograph.

Thanks Linda. What we’re seeing now in this town of 15,000 people is development on steroids — all within the last year-and-a-half. Just how much this changes its character remains to be seen.

A very fine photograph, Alan, wherever it came from! (But it’s interesting to see the changes). The heavy, darkness of the car cover is such a beautiful foil to the light, promising spring green in the trees – just fantastic!

Thanks, Lynn, I felt the same way. It was also fun to think of the covered car containing all the bright colors that have yet to be released this season.
Here’s another image btw, posted 3 years ago, of the same car but looking 90 degrees to the right: https://pixetera.co/tag/car-covers/#jp-carousel-10379
In this earlier photo I liked the way the vehicle on the right appears as a void or negative space. I was hoping to achieve a similar effect in the scene above but it didn’t work so I chose to go with more detail in the cover.

That’s a nice idea, that the season’s colors are hiding in there…
I see that all I said about the previous photo is, “Nice!” That was before retiring! ;-) It’s really very interesting, and I see what you mean about the car & cover being a void in that one. We have to be flexible, right? That’s a big part of the fun I think, when you look at an image and are tasked with figuring out how to show it, or how to let it say what it’s saying.
